The story behind the name.

I'm Rachel Parry, the nail technician behind Village Beauty Loft, and I've been in the nail industry for twelve years. My career path wasn't exactly a straight line. Having previously worked in mental health and law, I eventually decided it was time for a different direction: working for myself and turning my passion for nails into a business of my own.

Village Beauty Loft began in Whitchurch, where for almost ten years I ran a much larger salon, renting chairs to other hair and beauty professionals. We were based upstairs, which is where the name Village Beauty Loft came from.

Fast forward through a few changes, including a rather significant global pandemic, and the business has evolved. These days, it's just me, Rachel, doing what I love best: nails! So, no, there isn't actually a loft full of beauty therapists anymore, and the beauty menu has become rather smaller. But the name stays. It's where the business began, what my clients know and recognise, and a name I'm proud to have built over the years.

My approach is all about quality rather than rushing through appointments. I take real pride in preparation, precision and attention to detail, because beautiful nails should be more than just beautiful on the day they're done. They should last.

Whether it's a beautifully clean, understated set or detailed, creative nail art, I love getting the little things right. I'm a bit of a perfectionist (some might say that's an understatement!), and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Most importantly, I value the relationships I've built with my clients. Some have been with me for years, and others return after a gap of several years knowing exactly where to find me. That loyalty means everything.

Twelve years on, the name remains, the passion is still there, and the nails are still very much the main event.
